Its Sunday evening,

football is on the TV, fall is in the air, and the kids are going to bed soon. Life is good.

This layout is ACTUALLY from this season (right? summer isn't over quite yet?!). It is amazing how easy it is to scrapbook something that is fresh in my mind. I recommend it;)

I think I am going to let my Stampin up demonstartorship laps/expire. I knew this was coming. I am increasingly interested in other companies' products and less interested in stampin up!s stuff. Great company, but my time is up.

All the products in this layout were from http://www.scrapbooksussies.com/ kits. One fun thing I did do is cut up one rub-on (the dots) and used them as 3-4 rub-ons. Ryan even said he liked the Layout - UNSOLICITED!

Back in the swing......

...............of things. I feel like summer is winding down. BOOH -hooo! so sad. I will miss it.
But this layout reminds us that in Colorado at least, we still have fun outside in the winter.
Maybe not ya'll over in Buffalo!
This is one of my favorite layouts recently. You can click on the picture to read the journaling 'round the rainbow frame. Elle looks at these pics now and says "i don't really dance like that! - MOM!" hmm-hmmm sure. To note: Their favorite songs are BLACK BETTY & SHIPPEN UP TO BOSTON. LOL pretty hard rocking for 3-6 year olds! HMMMMM?

Two not-new ones. These where just never published. Elle in the first burning off a little energy on a winter afternoon. 01-08
My 2006 birthday at California Cafe drinking a Paradise Found. Highly recommended still even though the recipe is curiously been changed - HATE when that happens!

The first picture is of guy last winter - good thing I remember that since I fogot to add that to the layout! The journaling is about how much fun you can have riding your sisters princess scooter - even if it is only going 2mph - IF your eyes are covered! remember that folks.
Its another super-duper scrapbook sussie kit. www.scrapbooksussies.com

This layout is only a 6X6. How ka-ute is it?! It is my favorite this month :)
The color combination didn't flow freely at the time but in the end it worked! Again last winter.

I use a sketch book to orgainze my pages/journaling before I actually sit down and scrap. The end results usually are similar to my sketched idea. In this case it was exact! The journaling is about how handy fountains are because no one can drown! I had baby Guy on my lap here. Elle loved circling the fountains but never (EVER) went in!! because she would get wet! wierd.

Happy February

I have so much to share but I'll only have time for one tonight. This was my gettinsketchy February sketch entry. (see my Blog list for more info). The picture was taken Easter of 2006. You would think the egg hunt was a competitive sport by the way Elle's bag is stuffed and her eyes are focused on her next move. Poor boys didn't have a chance. LOL.
This is a scrapbook sussy kit. I adore them. www.scrapbooksussies.com

I got a new (OLD) job at Littleton Hospital and will be starting back to work this week. Nights in another week. Pray for me ;) We are thankful for the income. That is for sure.
I just uploaded 3-4 more layouts and Iwill share them tomorrow. Nite for now!

Homemade gifts for Christmas

So, mostly out of neccessity I made a few gifts this year. But I do enjoy it - albeit, maybe not in the month of {busy} December! This set was a pack of matching stationary/notecards for my downline of 1 person - woot-woot! that would be my neighbor and friend Jackie Dinkle:)

The next set I made 4 or 5 times over for techers and extended family (some of you might recognize!) I hope ya'll enjoy them. Well, at least you can regift with something homemade or use them! there is a concept. It was the Stampin' up set Very Punny. Each card was monochromatic cow= b&w, bird= canary yellow, lady bug= red and so forth.
I thought it was cute. I only show them all wrapped up.

Then, the last little ditty was a challenge card Jackie and I did. For those of you on www.splitcoaststampers.com it was from weekly inlings 131 and 132 - a limited supplies challenge and a color challenge. Happy Lollidays - cute - huh?

I will be back tomorrow to tell you all about PROJECT 365 that Becky Higgins (from CK) started. I am doing it and I am so excited!

first a serious note and then some fun stuff!

HI all! It has been 2 months. But I have lots to share today and over the next few days, including a new look, new music, Christmas cards, Christmas stationary gifts ect.,.

But first I wanted to share something that I think about daily. It is this little girl, Taylor, whom I don't even know. Her mom journals Taylors ups and downs through her recent AML leukemia diagnosis. She is soon to have a bone marrow transplant and could really use your prayers. She is 3 years old.
Elle said "aww, how cute" when she saw this picture. Elle doesn't notice Taylor is missing most her hair after chemo. That makes me smile and think how lucky I am Elle has very little hair and she is healthy.

Here is the online journal: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/taylorjones

Unity Stamps has made a PRINCESS stamp set that benefits the family. Here is that link: http://www.unitystampco.com/stamps/1483-uk327a_spunky_princess

For my 1st layout: It is me and my mom in 1997. I love this picture. I know the page needs something more so feel free to email me with suggestions! ryma@comcast.net

Elle in swim lessons during the summer of 2007. She was 3. I did not like (I am being nice) the instructor.............so what did I do?..................cover up his face. I don't want to remember him. So why did I mention that? Cuz my solution makes me laugh, I suppose.

I LOVE the next layout (LO) and I love that picture. You wouldn't think the boys are nude - but they were, and they loved it. The LO utilizes those new KI memories sheers. TO DIE FOR! yum.
And a little sparkle, because you know me :) FYI - the 2 on the left are mine and the boy on the right is Elle's best friend - Ben.

I wasn't present (not even in the same state) in the next pictures, but take my word for it, it is hilarious! My mom (and even my sister and brother) actually think they are about to be mugged and robbed of their pretzle in Battery Park. Apparently the squirrels in NEW YORK are BOLD and AGGRESSIVE. LOL

Then, of course my siblings atop the world trade center. That is a classic. What a beautiful day (albeit windy) it looked like!

The journaling cards are maya road. luv em!

I wasn't even sure what I was going to do with these mish mash pictures and I turned out making a fantastic page (IMHO) - in my humble opinion -lol. We went to South Florida so much in the 1990's I lost track. I guessed 1997, but that is for some of the pics not all. who cares? love the page. Yes, we wanted to live like Jimmy Buffet (minus the dope). Maybe in the future - eh?

So I am trying to digital in my scrapping and the next LO is a Quick Page. The credit goes to:
http://scrapgoo.lliella.com/.
There are so many free quality digital scrapbooking downloads on: http://www.digiscrapdepot.com/

fun stuff! The photo is of Guy, 3 years old.

The next LO also uses the KI MEMORIES SHEERS. That is my sister and I in 1994. I had just met ryan. I think he still carries this picture of me in his wallet! Aaaawwwwwww.......

I think this came out well. It is called, "the Littlest Ballarina's first recital" in case it is too difficult to read. Elle was 3 years old. She tells me now she wants to go back to dance class.

Thanks for looking. See you soon - SOONER THAN MARCH HOPEFULLY! I am shooting for tomorrow.

whoooosshhh - & there goes October!

I have a lot to share........

My neighbor, Jackie, and I have card swaps with each other every 2 weeks incorporating the splitcoaststampers' Weekly Inkling newsletter. The rule is for us utilize 2 challenges out of the 10 they post in a 2 week period to make 1 card. My first swap was posted a month or so ago and here I am posting the next 3.

The 1st incorporates a color and sketch challenge. The second involved a "limited supplies" challenge (2 neutral colors and a third color only) and a "way to use it" challenge (a charm). I used a cuttlebug embossing folder on Stampin' up!'s new Big shot die-cutter, and well, the results were divine.

The third I was able to utilize THREE challenges. The technique challenge was to stair-step-fold a card. It came out better than I thought it would and it was a cinch. The 2nd challenge was "Pink-Twink" (twinkling h2o's - in pink- over a watercolor penciled image) and the third was the color challenge of white black and P. Pink. The set used is EMBRACE LIFE.

I had a card class a few months ago and I have a group pic of all the cards. I thought I would throw this pic in there for fun!

I have a few randon cards I made for various reasons.....
And that was just the cards! Tomorrow I will post October's scrap-happenings!

A present I would love to get...

First, I want to show the rest of Christine's present. It was a monochromatic ensemble. All are Unity stamp co. stamps except for the coneflowers which are Stampin' up!

This is my favorite but not so on http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/

Splitcoast loved this one. Maybe they are partial to SU! products. The sparkles are sugar coating from doodlebug.
And now for a layout that I love..."A Girl and Her Worms" I decided that one 4x6 picture is just too small for 12x12 album page, so I started and 8x8 and it is so easy and fast to complete a page. I just didn't get so hung up. And what a fun (gross!) memory. Elle was 3 1/2 years old here. The worms are a heat embossed Stampin up! image. The nice gal down at Archivers asked me, "whatcha workin on?" I answered, "Whatever photos that are in front of me that I am inspired by" I find that I work the easiest and fastest if I am inspired so I don't bother with something I'm not inspired by because it will mean just a lot of starting and fustration.

Next up tomorrow, I have 2 new home congrats and 1 SCS challenge with my neighbor Jackie. Let's see what I can come up with..............

Christine's fab 43rd birthday

She makes 43 so beautiful. We might go to our pole workout tonight (www.tease-studio.com) - it is such a hoot! And a tough workout I may add!! But you do come home bruised like a peach :)
Her birthday party was saturday night. She liked her card. Which is a good thing because she got a gift pack of note cards all with the same chick idea. I'll post those later.
(card details: chick-white craft/pigment ink, heat embossed then with a clear -interference purple mix Embossing powder. Bedazzled with various jewels. The "chick" was printed on my computer but then the"fabulous" was stamped with the same ink and heat embossed with the same clear/Interference purple EP mix. the chick is 'fabulous feathers' from unity stamp co and the 'fabaulous' is from Stampin' up!'s many happy returns stamp set)
